I come to myrtle beach every year this course is one I like to play to get the shoulders loosened up. The staff is very friendly, the course is in great shape. I enjoy playing here.
Great course, was the only course out of 5 that allowed carts on fairways since their drainage was better than others.
Course was nice, clean, staff was courteous.
Played again in March 2014. I was again very disappointed in the greens and the fairways. Will not be on my list to play for a while. Hopefully they can get the greens back to good shape again because I like the layout of coarse. I used to look forward to play.
very disapointed, greens in bad shape as well as fairways, ues to be on my list for annual play, not anymore, tough to give even 1 star
very dissapointed, coarse in bad shape, greens in bad shape, used to be on my to play list but not anymore, will not go back or reccomend to anyone, will only use for practice range, will not be on list for annual golf trip
what a nice course. the women on the tripped really seemed to enjoy
I have played this course everytime I have been to the beach in the last 10 years. Open course not full of houses like many others. The 18th hole is one of the best I have ever played. Will be playing here in a couple of weeks and can not wait.
Priced right for a warm up for the better courses
Played the course in 2010 and aside from a few of greens that didn't winter well I really enjoyed the layout. Generous fairways keep play moving and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Am coming back in 2012 and will certainly play here.
The greens were some of the best on the island. The course itself is ok. A little beat up around the tee boxes, but aside form that it was pretty good.
Played on Saturday 1 May 2010 - party of 12 golfers from England.I first played Possum Trot in 1996 and never considered going back but was intrigued to do so after reading an article in which it was rated as the 'course of the month' for Myrtle Beach.Since that first visit I have played many courses in the 'Beach' a great deal of them being rated much higher than Possum Trot and I was awry of what I would find. Apart from 2 greens which had a slight problem, the course was well presented and it is an excellent and challenging layout with numerous long par 4's which require accurate drives and long carries for the second shot. The staff are very welcoming and helped to make it a good final day for before our long flight home. To people considering playing Possum Trot, do not be put off by the low star rating. Play it, you will have a very enjoyable experience.
Possum Trot is closing May 17 and is expected to reopen on approximately June 18 after replacing at least five greens.Read more: http://www.thesunnews.com/2010/04/17/1425976/pair-of-strand-courses-closing.html#ixzz0lb2EnD00
