Designed by Jack Nicklaus himself, the outstanding Pawley's Plantation golf course provides outstanding scenery at every round. This course has features you won't soon forget, including stunning marsh and lake views, Bermuda greens, unique split fairways, and an enormous double green.
The par-3 number 13 begins with a 300-yard dike and a set of tees where the golfer can play from 40 to 145 yards--but must make the shot across the marsh! Golf Digest ranked Pawley's Plantation as one of the top courses in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area.

was told this was the best course in the south myrtle area, I strongly disagree. some great vistas but the back nine was tight, 10 handicap or better needed otherwise frustration will win. front nine a bit easier. won't go back for the money the get.
A great course. Some of our group of 8 rated it the best of 4 we played.
This is a tricky course. Must place the ball carefully. Lots of fun and would definitely play again
Scenic course with a lot of holes along the salt marsh. Course played difficult, especially with the wind. Disappointed with the greens. They were slow and had a lot of debris on them. Had a putt jump sideways because it hit a small pebble on the green. Did not think the course was worth the price we paid.
What to say other than the slope is rate 139 because of the protection of all the greens. Good challenge. course in execellent condition.
Trees and more trees. Jack liked putting trees in the fairways. Too tough for my game as a higher handicapper.
Great track for golf. Beautiful scenery and the course was in great shape. The par 3s with the tee boxes on the levy were a bit odd but challenging. We would play again and again if we have a chance.
Good course. Nice lay out. Typical Jack Nicklaus greens. Hard to hit and harder to 2 put. Make sure you're on your game when you come to Jack's house.
we never got to play it because of the weather that day, but the word is we missed a really good course, so it will be the 1st course we play on our next trip
My friends said this was their favorite golf course of the week, and we played some very nice courses.
It's always a nice experience. And on top of it all, it was gorgeous day
Very tough course that Jack built. Small greens you have to bring your "A" game to score well there.
You cannot go wrong at pawleys, every aspect of the property is perfect. Nicklaus hit a grand slam when he designed the course.
In an Interview with Jack Nicklaus during the 2006 US Open the CBS Reporter asked if he any regreats about courses he had designed and his response was " I made Pawleys Plantation too dificult for the members"
course in great shape
