Legends Heathland Course has been distinctly modeled after old British Isles links and allows players of all skill levels to step back in time. Designed by Tom Doak, this par-71 course returns to the grand golfing traditions of old. Golfers will find holes molded after links such as Cruden Bay, Lahinch, and St. Andrews. Since most of the holes do not have high vegetation, the visual presentation is like no other.
This creates room for an unobstructed breeze, which provides challenge. Also challenging is the deep rough and steep greenside bunkers, both requiring creative shotmaking. Come see for yourself why Legends Heathland was rated by GOLF Magazine as one of the "Top 10 New Resort Courses in the World" in 1990.

If it’s relaxation you are after, then THESE are the Myrtle Beach golf courses you need to check out. The most quiet and peaceful courses in the area.
The Valentine’s Day Massacre at the Dye Club once again lived up to its reputation. Check out my first hand look as a player.
Excellent challenge for all levels. Pro shop and F+B folks were very courteous and helpful. Course in very good shape but it did take 5 hrs to play. Really ought to give rangers authority to keep pace of play on track.
Course was in good shape and was challenging but it took way to long to play. No course control and it took 5hrs.and 40 minutes to play 18 holes. Groups ahead had nobody pushing them and they took they're time like they were the only ones playing on the course. Very disappointing!
they were in good shape for the weather we had . never a bad time on these tracks
Outstanding. Challenging course
Course had received a lot of water in the days before but showed no real significant effects.Sand everywhere, just beautiful, and most greens are elevated.A definitive must play course.
Have played this course and the other 2 many times in the 25 years ive been coming to the beach they are a pleasure to play. the whole organization is frist. looking forward to playing them again
need more help on the front lot when arrivingnice course
Legends is the proper name for this course and it's personnel. Customer service is beyond just good. These people go out of their way to insure you enjoy your visit.
Was OK! Greens were a little rough. Nothing wrong but not great.
Played all three of the Legends courses from 4/25-4/27. The courses were in excellent shape. Organization was good at the starting areas. My only gripe was the pace of play, which exceeded 5 hours on each course. There were rangers on the course who said they were trying to maintain the pace of play, but my observations suggested otherwise. The group in front of us lost pace during one of the rounds, and nothing was done to move them along. This is especially a problem if you are trying to play 36 holes in a day. Our hope for a relatively leisurely lunch in between rounds (we should have had close to two hours if the 4:15 pace of play was enforced) turned into a rushed inhalation of a hot dog on the way to the first tee of the second round.
Not as Linksy as I was told it would be, Moorland is more of a British style in my opinion
my favorite course at the legends staff very helpful great deal forthe price
good shape very helpful staff great deal with breakfast lunch drinks
Course was in good shape, but amost 6 hrs to play.Marshalls telling us we were on time, but we had up to 6 groups on a hole, some one was not on pace.
great shape great staff
In 2010 Golf World awarded The Heathland Course at the Legends among the Top 30 courses of South Carolina`s out of more than 300 courses.
awesome course
Heathland. I had never played this one but can say now that this is one of my favorites. Not quite as difficult as Moorelands but a reallly nice course with a good variety of holes. Tee to green, it was in really good shape. Greens were fairly fast.As I have read before, at the Legends they start out on both sides in the morning and putting people out the back until 9:08 (we had the first time on the front at 7:00. The starter told us to take our time and (because we were a three-some) play two balls because if we made the turn too early, we'd end up waiting. So, as we weren't getting pushed by the group behind us, we did take our time, ended up making the turn at 9:15 and headed right out on 10. As the book both sides though, things started slowing down quite a bit on the back. It's just the way it works here, nothing you can do about it. Again, nice course and would definitely play it again.
