Although the great eagle is gone from Eagle Nest golf course, the birdies live on at this very popular North Myrtle Beach course. Eagle Nest has all the beauty of a South Carolina resort course, with tall pines along the fairways and gently rolling terrain. But Gene Hamm's design is the real beauty!
Hamm started with a straight-away par five, followed by a par four dogleg right to warm you up. The big finale is the three most challenging finishing holes on the Grand Strand. The locals know them as Tough, Almost as Tough, and Lord Help Me Over the Water. With the right mixture of hard and easy holes, Eagle Nest is a fun course with interesting and entertaining play.

Let’s make your golf vacation PERFECT. Here are the best places to stay, top golfing packages, happy hour info and where to relax for dinner.
If it’s relaxation you are after, then THESE are the Myrtle Beach golf courses you need to check out. The most quiet and peaceful courses in the area.
The Valentine’s Day Massacre at the Dye Club once again lived up to its reputation. Check out my first hand look as a player.
Played here often since first visit in 1975. Yesterday's round took almost 5 hours due to odd pairings & slow play. Rangers needed! Still, the course is in good shape & staff is friendly.
Played Eagle's Nest yesterday. Course was in great shape and the greens were perfect. Greens are fast with subtle breaks. Loved how the course is laid out. Fairways are generous, but you still can get in trouble if you spray your tee shot. Will definitely play again. Also, staff was great.

Bermuda greens still not in yet will play again later in summer when greens are in very good layout suits your eye
Eagle's Nest has maybe the fastest greens on the Grand Strand. The mini-verde grass that is now on the greens really putts great. The Nest is an older course that has upgraded itself. The last 3 holes are as good as any finish on the strand. If you havn't played Eagles Nest recently, it is well worth a visit. Great Greens!
Played this course twice , enjoyed it so much the first round, last 3 holes can and were a problem .down rated the rating due to second day we played behind a 5 some at 9:30 am , slowed down play on all difficult holes Staff was friendly and helpful
Enjoyed playing here several times the last twoweeks. Good condition and fair challenge for anold guy from the yellows. Friends joining us nextweek and we are planning to play here then.
The course was in great condition and the price was reasonable. The holes were challenging, but fair. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely play this course again the next time I am in Myrtle.
Nice course and well maintained. Great staff.
Great deal. The course is in nice shape and exciting to play, particularly the last 3 holes. The staff on Nov the 20th was very helpful
Great staff and course is great shape
Played this course sevaral times. I find it to be a good lay out and quite beautiful scenery. I will certainly play it again. The last three holes are a nice challenge to end the round
Fair course. Unique layout. Polite and helpful staff.
A real wonderful and fun course to play. Tough enough but fair.
Great value for the money. Numerous deals, but the course is always the thing, not the price. It's fair, the greens are great, but it can rise up and bite you if you mess up.

The sun was warm, the fairways were wide and the greens rolled smooth. The price was right and the people friendly and helpful. This was a fun course, I would recommend this course.
I have played this course several times and I enjoyed it. It is a good challenge for golfers of all skill levels.
Great course. Was in great shape. Enjoyed the round.
A group of 20 local golfers played here today and we had a great time. The course is in really good condition, greens are medium fast and true, fairways were close-cut and presented the ball nicely for approach shots. This is not a stiff test of your golf game but the last three holes are challenging and fun. The staff (Darbie on the bag-drop, Kelly in the grill-room and the pro on the desk) are all friendly and helpful. We had a very pleasant and agreeably priced time.
Course in great shape
Good course in great shape
Had fun on the course lots of challenge!
Love to play this course. Great shape this year!
excellent course in great condition. Particularly liked the front tees, both fair and challenging.
Very bad condition
I live in Myrtle Beach and have played at this course many times. I also played for the North Myrtle Beach High School Golf team and this is where we practiced. The course is very easy for a skilled golfer, being that it is wide open and has fair greens at best. Although the course is very easy and I recommend it for beginners or someone on a tight budget, it does have two of the toughest finishing holes that I have played on the grand strand. Overall, I give this course 2.5 stars out of 5.
I played Eagle Nest last week with an invite by Head Golf Professional Kent Chismar and Course Owner Senator Dick Elliot. The Golf Course was in really good condition and is fairly open off the tee. A traditional layout tree lined with Carolina Pines. Greens are Mini Verde Bermuda and were in great shape considering the Summer we had in Myrtle Beach. With the Fall golf season approaching I expect them to get better and faster!!! Eagle Nest is features four sets of tees from 6901 for the Championship Tees to 5105 from the red tees. Eagle Nest also features a driving range, fully stocked Pro Shop and Snack Bar. Rates for Eagle Nest range from $51.00 per golfer to $31.00 per golfer includes greens fees, cart fees, taxes and fees. Did You Know? Eagle Nest is one of five / eighteen hole courses in Myrtle Beach with a Par 3 as the 18th hole.
