Natural beauty is one of the defining characteristics of Blackmoor Golf Course. The Longwood Plantation, an antebellum rice plantation located along the beautiful Waccamaw River, is the only Gary Player design on the Grand Strand. Cypress, lofty pines, moss-draped oaks, and flowing lakes decorate all 18 holes. Golfers will not only enjoy the scenery, but possibly catch a glimpse of wild turkeys, alligators, or graceful deer.
The tranquil and serene atmosphere is enhanced by the sounds of birds and the breeze down the river. The maintenance of the greens and fairways is just as magnificent as the natural South Carolina surroundings.
The 419 Bermuda fairways and Tift Dwarf Bermuda greens are carefully groomed, and the attention paid to upkeep is noticeable. During cold weather play times, the course is kept green for a refreshing break from winter. The course layout is a challenge to perception, and unmatched fairways means that the golfer can focus attention on one hole at a time.

If it’s relaxation you are after, then THESE are the Myrtle Beach golf courses you need to check out. The most quiet and peaceful courses in the area.
The Valentine’s Day Massacre at the Dye Club once again lived up to its reputation. Check out my first hand look as a player.
A favorite and excellent track, pleasure to play.

average shape course has changed since last time we played it too many condos!
We love this course.. Thanks
Not a course my group will ever choose to play again. The conditions were not as nice as some of the other courses in the area and the layout was silly. One of our group said it reminded him of a putt putt course expanded to 600 yards.
Great course in Great shape. see you again soon
Nice course, a little damp from the overseeding but many unique holes and is playable for all golfers.
If you like 5 plus hour rounds then this is the place for you. Our group will never be back and we have been coming to MB for 25 years.
Greens were decent (but VERY flat), fairways were in pretty good shape (not that I was in them).Course was VERY busy and VERY slow. Marshalls tried to pick the pace up but no luck.Overall- B. Would play again as a package deal.
Did You Know that there is a Civil War Cemetery on the 13th hole at Blackmoor Golf Club dating back to the mid 1800`s.
