Golfers will enjoy the visually striking Love Course at Barefoot Resort. In his latest design, Carolina native Davis Love, III embraces Lowcountry traditional character. Holes 3-7 incorporate the old ruins of a plantation house, and wide fairways along with generous landing areas all create a great round of golf.

Let’s make your golf vacation PERFECT. Here are the best places to stay, top golfing packages, happy hour info and where to relax for dinner.
If it’s relaxation you are after, then THESE are the Myrtle Beach golf courses you need to check out. The most quiet and peaceful courses in the area.
The Valentine’s Day Massacre at the Dye Club once again lived up to its reputation. Check out my first hand look as a player.
Fairways and greens were behind where they should be this time of the year (mid March). Generally the fairway grass was still dormant. They were spraying the fairways with a greenish pigment to try to hide the problem Seems to be a particular issue with the Barefoot courses since other courses we played didn't have the issue. Greens were almost unplayable.

The course itself was nice and deserves a higher rating, the same can't be said for some of the staff. We played it on the Barefoot Wed special. They were over booked. The course was cart path only (nobody's fault for that). We had a group of 15 and a couple of groups had a hard time with all the walking and fell behind 10 - 12 minutes. The marshal was rude and pushy and threatened they would not get there tee time for the back 9. Maybe it was because Barefoot hosted Big Break, the attitude was like we were lucky to be playing their course. The group said they would not go back to Barefoot Resort Golf.
Interesting features - ivy covered wall backing a green, another hole with brick walls protecting the green. Fun.
Our group played this course as a scramble it was fair in great condition but we considered it the least challenging of the four Barefoot courses.
The course will be closed July 9 and reopen on September 10. The Love course at Barefoot is also changing from Bent grass to Champion Ultra Dwarf.
I don't know what it is, but this is my favorite of the barefoot courses. All of em are spectacular but I do love the "Love"!
